Invitación al OPEN HOUSE

Estimados Alumnos y Padres de Familia,

Reciban un cordial saludo. Por medio de la presente se les hace una atenta invitación a nuestro evento de clausura en la que haré entrega de los resultados finales y podrán presenciar una puesta en escena que prepararon los alumnos.

Open House
Sábado 4 de diciembre
12.00 p.m.
Sala Polivalente, CIDEB

Su presencia y la del alumno son indispensables en esta cita para conocer su status y la única oportunidad de realizar la re-inscripción para continuar sus estudios en los cursos del Depto. de Extensión.

Es importante tener las hojas de re-inscripción preparadas con los datos del alumno para agilizar el trámite. Conociendo el resultado final, pueden acudir al Depto. Escolar para comenzar con el trámite de re-inscripción, si así lo desean.

1 1/2 essay: Suppose you're the new manager of Kalimba. He's uncertain about not joining OV7, but intends to keep his word. You're now hired to boost his career, explain your plan to make him as popular as Chayanne or Luis Miguel.

3) Final Essay
You'll hand it in on Nov. 27th.
  • Choose a book in English with 120 pages at least.
  • Include a thesis statement in your introduction. The thesis statement tells your reader your interpretation about the significance of a subject matter under discussion.
  • Done in computer, Arial font, 1.5 paragraph
  • 1 page introduction, 2 pages body, 1 page conclusion (again: at least)
  • Bibliography

The Annoying Thing


Dear students, here are the instructions for this weekend:

1) Homework

Answer to the following questions in relation to each performance from the class.

a. In your own words, explain what was performed on each play: neighborhood, restaurant, theater, and party with friends.

b. Have you ever experienced disturbance from your neighbors? What kind? (If not, have you ever performed as an annoying neighbor? How?) How will you deal with an annoying neighbor to avoid a bigger problem?

c. Describe some of the annoying experiences you've had in restaurants, like paying your dinner with 10 cent coins or finding a hair in your meal. What was your reaction?

d. Have you ever experience disturbance in movies theaters? What kind? (spoiled kids, people at the back kicking your seat, slurping soft drinks, etc.) How will you deal with annoying people in the middle of a movie? Would you decide to ignore them and try to watch the movie or argue with them to stop the disturbance?

e. Have you ever been embarrased by your friends? How will you deal with annoying friends? When is it worth to loose a friend?

1 1/2 page at least!

2) 2nd Oral Test

This is a free topic of choice as long as you include:
a. Introduction
b. Body
c. Conclusion

4 to 6 min length, bring a Powerpoint presentation.
